How does Verif_Hire identify fake candidates?
Verif_Hire reads each resume and checks whether the candidate's phone number and email address are real, reachable, and consistent. Phone numbers are checked with FCRA-compliant infrastructure data providers, and email addresses against known disposable-email lists. Contact details that appear on resumes with different names are flagged too. Every screened candidate comes back PASSED or FAILED, and failed ones show the reason. Files with no phone number are marked Not screened and aren't charged.
What happens to the resumes we upload?
They never leave your computer. The portal reads each resume in your browser, and only the phone number is sent for verification. The email check runs locally. We store no candidate data or results, results clear when you close the tab, and the spreadsheet export is generated on your computer.
What counts as a verification credit?
One credit covers one unique phone number checked. Resumes with no phone number, files that can't be read, and duplicate numbers in the same batch are free. Your plan includes 5,000 verifications per month, and they reset each billing cycle.
What happens if we run out of credits?
You'll see it coming. The credit meter is always on screen, and the portal alerts you as you get close. Add 500 more verifications for $29 anytime. Add-on credits don't reset, so whatever you don't use stays on your account.
How many people on our team can use it?
Up to 25 team members can use one team key. Everyone signs in with the shared key and their own name, and each browser counts as one seat.
Can the portal have our logo?
Yes. Your team portal is co-branded with your logo and lives at its own link on verif-hire.com, so your team always knows where to go.
Is this a background check?
No. Verif_Hire verifies the contact information candidates provide. It is not a background check or a consumer report. Treat results as a signal for follow-up, not a hiring decision.
Can we cancel anytime?
Yes. The team portal is $95/month, billed monthly through Stripe. Cancel anytime from Manage billing inside the portal.
